CPA Advanced Level 1 represents the advanced stage of the KASNEB Certified Public Accountants qualification. It builds on the knowledge acquired at Foundation and Intermediate levels and develops strategic, analytical and professional competencies required for senior accounting, finance, auditing, taxation and management roles.
KASNEB officially refers to this stage as the CPA Advanced Level rather than “Advanced Level 1.” The level has compulsory papers, a specialisation option, and practical/professional components.

CA31: Leadership and Management Develops leadership, management, strategic thinking, organisational behaviour and decision-making skills for professional and managerial positions.
CA32: Advanced Financial Reporting and Analysis Covers advanced financial reporting, complex accounting transactions, financial statement analysis and application of relevant reporting standards.
CA33: Advanced Financial Management Focuses on advanced financial decision-making, investment and financing decisions, valuation, risk management and strategic financial management.
CA34S3: Advanced Management Accounting Develops advanced techniques for strategic costing, budgeting, performance management, decision-making and management control.

The Advanced Level also includes:
CA35P: Business Data Analytics – a practical paper focusing on the use of data and analytical techniques in professional decision-making.

CA37WP: Workshop on Work Simulation – applicable to candidates who do not have the required relevant practical experience.
