KASNEB Accounting Technicians Diploma (ATD) – Level I

ATD Level I is the first level of KASNEB’s Accounting Technicians Diploma. It provides learners with practical foundational skills in accounting, business law and ethics, entrepreneurship, communication, and ICT. The qualification is designed for learners who want to develop practical accounting skills and progress into accounting-related careers.

ATD Level I Papers

1. AD11: Introduction to Financial Accounting
   Covers accounting principles, recording of transactions, revenues and expenses, assets and liabilities, correction of errors and preparation of financial statements.
2. AD12: Introduction to Law and Ethics
   Introduces basic legal principles, business law and professional ethics relevant to accounting and business.
3. AD13: Entrepreneurship and Communication
   Develops entrepreneurial skills together with effective written, oral and professional communication.
4. AD14: Information Communication Technology
   Provides practical knowledge of ICT and its application in accounting and business operations.
